O’Fallon is the leader in Health and Wellness in our region. Over the last decade we have made a significant investment in building our Parks System to be second to none. Hundreds of thousands of visitors use our facilities for family fun to competitive sports. As mayor, I will pledge to make sure our investment pays off for our community.

FAMILY SPORTS PARK SOCCER AND BASEBALL COMPLEX EXPANSION. 2017 will be a monumental year for the O’Fallon Soccer and Baseball Competitive Community. Through the recently passed Destination O’Fallon, up to twelve new all weather soccer and baseball fields will be constructed to accommodate the growing demand for tournaments, which generates $5.2 million annually to our local economy. As mayor, I will ensure that we stay on track to build these new fields so that the return on investment to our city can be realized as soon as possible. It is estimated that this expansion could double the economic impact to our city.

EXPAND BIKE AND WALKING TRAILS. As mayor, I will work with the Metro East Park and Recreation District to complete the new bike and walking trail on the North end of O’Fallon that will connect with the Bike Trails in Troy and Edwardsville. This will utilize abandoned railroad tracks and enhance our resident’s opportunities to maintain good health through biking and hiking. Look for me on the trails once they are completed!

BUILD PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS. As the City Park System has been built, it is now prime for our Parks department to seek and secure Public/Private Partnerships to help fund the growth of programming for O’Fallon residents. As mayor, I will work to identify businesses to work with our Parks Department to secure funding and programs from private business. This will keep the cost of summer programing, camps, classes, and sports programs affordable for our residents.
